Building Community Through Sports -- A+
The Promised Land community recently paused academics for a few days to host spirited kickball and soccer tournaments, determining the teams that will represent the school in larger community games. Thanks to your donations, these teams were well-equipped with practice gear, jerseys, and boots (cleats) for those previously without, fostering both team spirit and athletic excellence. The 10th grade class was the ultimate winner(girls in kickball and boys in soccer-football in Liberia, of course).
Talent and Leadership -- A+
The school recently held their yearly pageant to elect the "Queen of PLASS". We are blessed to announce the winner is Light Mulbah! Pictures of the coronation event can be found on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1A97LoFxUX/ .

Student Council met virtually via FaceBook with Mr. Pollard and proposed some school improvements such as purchasing brooms, trashcans, flags and more to improve the campus. Donors stepped up to help meet 50%
of the request.
Donations and Entrepreneurial Initiative --A+
In April, a substantial shipment was sent to PLASS containing school uniforms, clothing, toys, and shoes. These items will benefit students directly and be sold in local markets by school families and student leaders as part of an innovative initiative to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurship. This effort aims to empower the community to sustainably support the school’s funding.
Clean Water Solutions and More -- A+
The shipment included large barrels equipped with rainwater collection and storage capabilities, fitted with Sawyer water filters purchased at a charity rated discount. These filters ensure safer water access for the campus. As a side note, Sawyer products also offer excellent insect-repellent solutions, personally tested in Liberia and Missouri and recommended. (find them with a search for "Sawyer products" on Amazon or google.)
Another shipment is being prepared which full of school supplies and other essential items. Thanks to students, teachers and parents at St. Francis and Cathedral schools!
