Marilyn's Meals-
Cultivating
Hope

Hands Are Hard at Work With Marilyn's Meals

Marilyn's Meals was started one year after the last Promised Land Campus(3.0) was established and the school was erected. In an effort to seek financial support for the ongoing education and formation of the school children, land around the school was prepared for agricultural use. Since the land was swampy, the founders determined the best crop to grow would be rice. Since 2023, the land has yielded bountiful harvests.

In addition to producing food, the cultivation and harvesting provides employment opportunities for the men and women of the community.

The rice harvested can then be sold for a profit and funds can go directly into the support of the Promised Land Academy.

We currently have a number of other plans for the land surrounding the campus. Plans include farming other crops such as corn, casava, peppers and greens during the dry season as well as raising fish during the rainy season.
