Thanks to the donors who supported us with over $30,000 in July!

We're launching a new campaign. It pulls together the work we've been doing into something more direct and personal.

What this is about

Recognizing our gifts and giving them to the less fortunate so that they can begin building a bright future through a faith-based education founded on Gospel values and leadership development.

 Who it's for

Generous people who have been blessed with financial security and have a love for educating all of God’s children. Your support can be directed toward one teacher or one student.

What you'll find

The benefit of giving to beautiful Liberian children who have the need to start their new school year with the blessings of loving teachers and generous benefactors.

  See what's new

With the start of a new school year on the horizon. There are new opportunities to support families in the underserved community of Philadelphia Township which is located right outside of the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

Why are we sending this now?

-As we look forward to a new school year, I had one of my common 3:30AM thoughts. I have been reflecting on the blessings of having children who did not need to use the college savings we had for them. Our daughter is in the USMC and benefits from your taxes to support for her future degree in Sociology or, possibly, Education. Our son earned a 4 year scholarship to attend OU and is gainfully employed as a software engineer. When we started down the road of supporting the Promised Land Academy, we used the funds set aside for our own children to help these less fortunate children in Liberia.

We are asking for your discernment and support in a similar way...

In recent years, so many American families have been blessed by generous gains in investments such as mutual funds, college savings plans and 401K plans. Instead of sitting on these assets for future use in your family, I invite you to give to the cause of helping these beautiful children realize just a taste of the dream of a quality education NOW.

Need more to reflect upon?

Check out the homily from Fr. Mike Schmitz who tells us how we are to give generously now, give without complaint, and give with excellence. Your gift today can help you, these children and the teachers of the Promised Land.
