From Janitor to Educator: Help Pastor Johnny Complete His Journey

2 min read

At 17 years old, Johnny Wisdom Koigbli sat in a first-grade classroom — not as a teacher, but as a student learning to read for the first time. He spent his days cleaning and keeping watch as a janitor and security officer at that very school, dreaming of a future he wasn't sure he'd ever reach.

He never stopped believing.

Ten years later, that belief has carried him further than anyone could have imagined. Starting a school with 25 kids and growing it into a large campus of 250 scholars. Last year, with the help of a scholarship from the AME church, Johnny earned his Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate. Today, he stands at the doorway of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a scholarship toward his Master's degree...the final step toward becoming a school administrator at Promised Land Academy.

There's just one thing standing in his way: the fees required to claim it.

This is where you come in.

For ten years, Johnny has given selflessly ... to students, to families, to a community that believed in second chances because he was living proof of one. Now it's our turn to give back.

Your gift today doesn't just help one man finish his degree. It helps Promised Land Academy step into a stronger future, with Johnny leading as School Director and easing administrative costs for years to come. It's an investment in faith, in education, and in a man who has already proven what perseverance looks like.

Will you help Johnny cross this finish line?

Every gift - big or small - brings him one step closer to his dream, and one step closer to becoming the educator, mentor, and leader we always knew he could be.

May God bless this journey, and may He bless you for walking it with him.
